Recipe from old Gail's Swap: Thanksgiving Noodles

I made this about 10 years ago for Thanksgiving and now someone is asking me for the recipe for it. I can't find it, I vaguely remember it, but not enough to reconstruct it, and although I did try several search methods to find it (at epicurious site, using the link to the old swap in kitchen tips, etc.), I've pretty much given up on attempting to find a specific recipe from the old swap.

Does anyone have magical powers of retrieval or does someone remember this recipe and/or has a copy of it?

Richard, I Googled "Thanksgiving Noodles and some links came up. You might try it

and see if it any of them bring back the memories

My aren't I frugal? LOL Nothing like creative holiday leftovers playtime in the kitchen.

I left out: Leftover baked mac&cheese gets sliced and fried in butter as well. Sinfully delicious.

Charlotte in Sacramento: Thanksgiving Noodles

This is the epitome of prepackaged cuisine; simple and downhome, but I have to admit..its my favorite thing on my mother-in- law's table, and the essence of comfort food. Its best the next day; turns into a kind of noodle kugel. 1 package extra thick egg noodles 2 - 14 oz. cans chicken broth 2 cups water 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 1 rounded tsp sage (to taste..I like more) 2 pkgs Schilling Turkey Gravy mix 1 cup turkey meat, chopped fine In a large pot, bring broth and water to a boil. Add noodles, maintaining a boil. Cook until soft. Lower heat. Add salt, pepper, and sage, then gravy mix. Simmer until thickened; the longer the better (to a point).

Yr suggestion did the trick for me. Thanks, Curious1!

I am just printing off the Thanksgiving Noodle recipe.

omigosh!

The first link for this is a recipe (sorta..more like mix boxes together) I posted..over a decade ago. We still make that--every year..no matter what. They tell me the world will end if it isn't on the table.
