Recipe & Party Trick

Okay, friends of mine got together and concocted this idea for a dinner party. A food writer happened to be in the house...and asked if they could recreate it for this article.

My friend Becky came up with the soup...and I'd definitely give it a try. Becky has the most amazing palate (she studied under Jerry Traunfeld at the Herbfarm for 3 years) and I've been harping on her to write a book for a very long time. Until then...I covet every recipe I can get my hands on!

With or without the nifty party trick, I'm sure this is a killer soup.

You bet! Everyone involved in this project has a blog...great summer reads....

I love Dana's thoughtful approach to desserts & pastry. She was at the Fat Duck in England when it was named "the best restaurant in the world." And she just finished doing a stage at WD50 in New York. Her recipes deliver big flavor.

Here's Dana's 1st blog:

And now she's here:

Becky did a fabulous blog last summer, detailing her journey as chef on the lead boat of yachts going up the Inside Passage:

And Matthew has a wonderful...often funny blog, noting his young daughter's culinary experience. He just got a book deal and I can't wait to check it out. For now, here's his blog:
