Recommendations for not-terribly-heavy pots for pot roast?

My mom has always used one of those standard-issue gray-and-white speckled oval pots to do pot roast, but she would like to replace it. However, she's wholly uninterested in the weight of a traditional Dutch oven, which rules out Le Creuset, Lodge, Copco, etc. (You need not attempt to convince me why a heavy pot is better--I have one. But my mom is getting older and hoisting one of those--full--in and out of the oven isn't going to work, period.)

So...if you have any recommendations for a heavy-bottomed, flameproof (or just stovetop-proof) pan or pot, I'd be grateful to have it. I think Calphalon has something like this, but I haven't tracked it down yet.

Thanks in advance...

(And no, this isn't my mom's Christmas gift, for those worried.) smileys/wink.gif

I love my Magnalite and as in the name, it is not heavy.

I can remember when my grandmother even switched to plastic mugs because ceramic/pottery ones were too heavy and made her hands hurt worse.
