Linking to the O'Reilly recipe, too, in case anyone wants to try it. Also, for 1980s SoCal folk...
There used to be an Irish restaurant called "Gilhooley's" (possibly in/near a mall, somewhere in Orange County, near Irvine, maybe?) that I remember my mom taking me and my brother to when we were little. I can still taste their soda bread. smileys/smile.gif
The location sounds weird, I know, but it was lovely.
