Remember last year's S'Mores Bar? What about a Popcorn Bar?

The S'Mores bar was a big hit at our annual Margarita/Sangria Party so I repeated it at my daughter's 14th b-day party the following month. Those girls made a huge mess, but loved it.

Over the years, I've done a variety of different types of desserts for the girls' b-days. In general, they don't like cake so I did that "candy bar" cake one year, we had an ice cream bar one or two years and then we drifted into chocolate fondue for a few years running. Last year's S'Mores Bar was the first change in awhile.

My youngest is turning 15 next weekend. Her drop-dead favorite food is popcorn. I saw an idea for a Popcorn Bar on Pinterest, and think she'd LOVE that. Want to add ideas?

Think I'll provide plain buttered popcorn (no salt) in big bowls with scoops. I can buy several different kinds of the flavored powders, but they're kind of boring. I'll definitely have cinnamon sugar (and maybe red-hots) and thought of the following candies that kids could stir in if they wanted:

Plain or Peanut M&M's

Mini Rolos

White Chocolate Chips

Butterscotch Chips

Recess Pieces

I can buy some of those re-usable plastic popcorn containers with the red & white stripes.

Any combos with popcorn you think I'm missing?

Candied nuts? Spicy salt/sugar sprinkle? Smoke salt? . . .

Jelly beans? Toffee chips? Chocolate/caramel drizzle?

I mean, how much do you want to spend? smileys/smile.gif

Ooooh. Toffee. Heh. We have some alder smoked salt, but their taste buds might not be up for that.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to run the whole thing by her soon and see how she likes it.

Peanut butter chips, milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips, chocolate almonds, chocolate pretzel pieces,

caramel & chocolate sauces...

I know it really does not"go"w the popcorn, but I am sure will be a hit are those small gummie bears
