remodel math: 1 broken microwave = 1 new microwave + 1 new stove + 1 new dishwasher. of course

and it's the master bath that we're completely remodeling. makes so much sense. follow along----the bathroom is on the other side of the kitchen. the wall will be open on the bathroom side so we decided maybe it was time to replace the microwave/hood with the broken handle because it would be easy to vent correctly. but it's white, and all the appliances are older, and maybe it would be time to upgrade and make a change to stainless. and the floor in the kitchen and living area is also being replaced, so the appliances will be pulled out. well of course. and if one gets changed to stainless, wouldn't it be wise to change all. well, except for the fridge which is rather new and that will have to wait for round 4 of the remodel. We chose Maytag gas double oven, and also Dishwasher and matching microwave/vent. this is at our cabin/retirement home. might as well do it now while we are both still working. my accountant brain is doing flipflops right now.

That is one impressive microwave replacement project which will inclue the other 2 new appliances 4

matching purposes. I am envious. I would NEVER succeed in talking my DH into replacing something that is not broken! Example, I had all bisque appliances, but the dishwasher died last fall. They don't make bisque (or beige) anymore so we chose a GE stainless steel front for the new dishwasher, but of course, we still have the bisque drop-in stove; a bisque microwave vented to the outside that is built-in above the stove & also our bisque refrigerator. I have wondered if I'll live long enough to see everything eventually totally converted to stainless steel! lol. (I am sure Paul would insist that I mention we do have a stainless steel sink so there is a very small amount of matching in the kitchen on this new front! ha.)
