The torte was baked last evening we had it for dessert tonight. The cake is very, very dense in texture.......much like a pound cake. I served it as is and my daughter asked if we had any whipping cream.......the cake certainly needed something to lighten it up. She whipped up some cream with cardamom and it hit the spot.
I won't be making this cake again as I have a much nicer plum cake recipe that has a lighter texture.
