Report on Trader Joe's

Even though they opened last friday, the 20th, the store was packed today around noon. You would have thought they were giving the stuff away! My 5yo dd was with me so I didn't get to spend as much time looking at items as I would have liked.

I re-read the items that people liked to get there and wound up leaving my dd guarding the cart once I saw the person behind/in front of me in line with something you all recommended.

The people that worked there were very friendly and one of the managers even corralled something that was not on the shelfe for me.

So thanks for your suggestions! Here's what I got (in the order on the register receipt)...

Frozen Naan (garlic and regular)

Pomegranate White Tea (2)

White Tea

Pop Up Sponges

Grapefruit Soda

WW English Muffins

WW Pita

Hummus

Green Chai Tea

Red Mole Sauce

Asiago Fresco cheese

Pomegranate-Blueberry Juice

Pomegranate-Cranberry Juice

Pomegranate-Cherry Juice

Toasted Sesame Oil (been having a hard time finding the toasted stuff)

Brown Basmati Rice from Thailand

Oat Bran

Pecan Pieces

Organic Soy Ginger Broth

Apples (very tasty)

Peach Salsa (jarred)

Korean Sesame Boneless Beef (1 - 1 1/2 lbs)

Frozen Vegetarian Pad Thai

Thai Lime & Chile peanuts (whoa - yum!)

Prosciutto

French bread

sm. chunk of Parma Reg

Gouda

Chocolate Cat cookies, and

big chunk of semi-sweet chocolate at register

Tonight's dinner will be fruit, bread, cheeses, prosciutto, nuts, and a little vino. Chocolate for dessert. bon appetit!

Thanks again for your help and forced indulgence in reading this post!

Wow it sounds like you did great! One thing about TJ's

on a Saturday or Sunday, around noon, it is nuts. You are better off going early, when they open up, or later (but sometimes they are out of things by evening). If they have it, try their flavored pistachios in the shell, yum!

Oh yum! You got some things I've been meaning to try, so my TJ's list is going strong.

I always try to get there right after they open in the morning. Even Saturdays and Sundays aren't so bad then, though I try to go during the week.

I'd like to know how you and anyone else, uses the soy, ginger broth, please.

That wasn't what I thought they were. Those look like great sponges...

now I have one more thing I have to get next time I go to TJs.
