We try to go someplace new every Saturday night...
French: Cafe Normandie is in a small strip mall but is wonderful (the waiter comped my foie gras for some reason)

Italian: Brio Tuscan Grill...I think this is a chain but I had never heard of it before but it was excellent. It's located in a very upscale courtyard mall

Mexican: El Tapatio Restaurante we have eaten here twice and each time we were the only non-Hispanic patrons. Best Mexican I have eaten ever. This is NOT Tex-mex. It is a hole in the wall next to a long-term motel.

Continental: Mangroves Cafe is located in Downtown Naples on 5th. They have a special of any 2 entrees plus a bottle of wine for $39.00. I usually don't go for these because the wine has not been very good but here the wine is pretty decent Australian. Lindeman's Bin 65 Chard.

There is an area a little south of downtown Naples called Third Street with a lot of restaurants we have not tried yet. One that we have tried is called The Dock. It's a wooden table top, pull your boat up to the dock, drinking party restaurant with pretty good food.

We have not found a good Asian restaurant yet but have tried two that I will warn you about.
AZN Azian Cuizine in the Mercato shopping city. The cutzie name should have been a tipoff. Horrible service and they don't bother stringing the snow peas.
L'Orient on Davis Blvd in Naples. Very expensive and weird take on Chinese food. General Tao's Chicken consisted of very thin heavily breaded 4"x 5" flats of chicken drizzled with a little sweet chili sauce...$18.95!
(edited to add) Another place to avoid is called Real Seafood Company on Fontana Del Sol Way. The restaurant was not busy but service was poor. The fish was way over cooked, the sushi rolls were nothing special for $15.00. We did not get their "world famous" bread and our desserts both had strawberries that were moldy. The waiter thought he was a hero when he announced he would take the desserts off the check. I reviewed it on OpenTable and they did respond and said they would like us back as their guests...they sent me a $25 coupon.
I hope this helps some. If go to any others of note I'll let you know.
