Restaurant Suggestions, if possible for area

Not sure if this is too far for you, but I love this restaurant

Can't go wrong with the Grand Central Oyster bar either.

Cipriani Dolce is interesting--you can watch the world go by--it's situated on the west balcony of the terminal. Gets mixed reviews, haven't been there in a while.

Both are in Grand Central station. Worth a visit just to see how grand it is.

I will try to think of more.... when is your trip, Gay?

Our favorites - most not fine dining smileys/wink.gif

Her Name is Han, 31st and Mad. L'amico, 6th and 29th...

Her Name is Han is authentic Korean. They don't take reservations but if you get there close to when they open you won't have a problem. L'amico is italian with a gorgeous wood fire oven. Everything is wonderful. They DO take reservations but even when i have them, i inevitably have to wait another 20 mins. My husband and I usually eat at the bar.

Also The Smith is a favorite of our. Great cocktails and a Large space so the wait is not as long. There are several locations but the closest one to your request is at 27th & broadway.

Kind of a no-man's-land for food... But you could take a taxi

to 3rd and 40th, where Zengo is--Latin/Mexican. Good for lunch. (Basement tequila bar is actually very nice, too.)

If good weather, I would head closer to Bryant Park--there's Maison Kayser.

What kind of food/meals are you looking for? (Is 32nd and Madison/5th the hotel location?)
