I posted an English muffin recipe above for your perusal- but I just happened to think about something I used to do a lot for brunches that was always a show-stopper. Caramelized bacon twists. More of a method than a recipe at least at my house. Take cold strips of bacon (nothing too thick because they won't hold the twist as well) and coat with golden brown sugar. Twist bacon, thread on skewers top and bottom to hold the twist steady (I just use one skewer top and one skewer bottom and thread as much on them as I can), place on parchment paper-covered baking sheets or Silpat and bake at 350 until crisp- takes about 10 min or so. Then unthread and voila. Beautiful and yummy. I also have experimented with brushing on honey but I like the brown sugar better.
