Could a kind soul please direct me to Richard in Cincinnati's fruitcake recipe. I've tried search and fav.s but can't find it. I remember that Marilyn/Fl. (?) made it for her elderly neighbor and daughter and the thought it was wonderful. i ran it off but have lost it. I think it was from the last couple years. Anyone? Thank you! Stephanie

All of these are tried and true ( and totally delicious)...

I used to make dark traditional European fruitcakes. There is also a really amazing recipe for Italian Black Fruitcake in the old Gail's Swap that had the fruit, plus strawberry jam, melted chocolate, the kitchen sink, etc. If you're looking for a dark-style fruitcake, I can heartily recommend that one as I used to make it every year about 10-20 years ago until my preference shifted to the white/pound cake style fruitcakes listed here. Happy baking!

Thanks to all who responded.

It's the Glace Cherry and Pineapple Poundcake that Gay posted. I did print recipe out at the time but lost it. Thank you, Gay, for finding the recipe. I should have specified that it was a light fruitcake, which would have narrowed the search down. I'm going to start my holiday baking with this little treasure. Thank you all again. And Richard, you truly have me in awe . Your posts about your cooking endeavors truly astound me. Your menus are inspirational. You truly are a gourmand!

Richard - would you post the recipe for the dark Italian fruitcake?

I tried searching for it, but did not have any luck. Would love to try it. Thank you in advance!
