Wow! Saturday we went to the Palm Springs Food Truck Festival. Holy smokes! They said there were up to 70 trucks but my guestimate would be around 40. Everything was available. Argentina, Sushi, Korean, Indian, Cajun, Spicy, Ices, Vegan...
Several of the trucks have been part of the Food Network's Food Truck Race. (The Ragin' Cajun was outside his truck offering free samples.)
We decided to each pick out our "have to tries" and then share. We did good, no one over ate and we tried new flavors.
I loved the Korean BBQ Short Rib Tacos. Hubby and son went nuts for a butter poached lobster grilled cheese.
Bacon was huge. Several trucks were highlighting bacon concoctions from PB&J&B to brownies and ice cream. Our future DIL grabbed chocolate covered bacon...I can live without that again although everyone else liked it. The texture was too odd for me.
The only real clunker was Habanero Orange Chipotle Chocolate Chicken. No heat and all we could taste was burnt chocolate.
