Roast Chicken - Low or High heat? Which is your preference?

Start off way high, then work down to low.

Specifically, start breast up at 425*F for 20-30 minutes (depending on size) turn breast down, for 20-30 minutes. Reduce heat to 350, for another 20-30 minutes, then breast up until done.

Baste profusely throughout.

 
My preference lately is 400 all the way. I buy only small chicks. For a larger guy, I'd still do

the breast up and down and the heat up and down method.
