Rocky Mountain Brisket (Baked)

This recipe is from "Colorado Cache", the Denver Junior League cookbook.
1 & 1/2 tsp salt
1 & 1/2 tsp black pepper
2 T chile powder
1 tsp crushed bay leaves
2 T liquid smoke
4 to 5 lb beef brisket
Combine first 4 ingredients and set aside. Rub brisket all over with the liquid smoke. Place brisket, fat side up, in a large baking pan. Cover pan tightly with foil. Bake at 325 F. for 4 & 1/2 to 5 hours. Your brisket will be tender and flavorful!
