Safeway has amazing deals on Fridays. I was there yesterday and saw a lady loading up on their

Signature Pizzas for her teens, which were on sale for $3.99. I asked if they were really good and she said, YES. So, I took the leap and picked up two of them. One was a bacon, sausage which was baked last night and it was amazingly good. I did add a few fresh cherry tomatoes, but that was it. Perfect for when I do not want to cook or go get take out. Delivery has become so expensive.

Buying prepared foods has been hard for me to do, so when I find one we both like, I am very happy. Paying $3.99 for a pizza to feed the two of us, plus we had enough left over for lunch today. Not too shabby.

Ingredients list is less than stellar for those who carefully watch carbs, salt, fats, but when in a pinch, this will satisfy. They have a large selection so choose carefully. I felt the bacon, sausage would be flavorful and a Margherita is still to be tried. I was not sure about some of the others, like a spinach cheese which I worried it might be too watery. Anyone one else tried these?

I Googled the Signature Pizzas at Safeway for comments. There were comments about the spinach

and cheese being watery. However, it could be that they did not follow directions, problems with oven or who knows what. Maybe they added more spinach that was frozen. Never know because folks like to tweak and sometimes the result is not good, yet, they critique the product.
One time I added too many tomatoes and some extra cheese to a delivery pizza, what a mess I had!

Agreed. They're good. I've been hitting up their $4.99 8-piece chicken deals on Mondays. I

take all the meat off the bone, toss half the fried bits and use the meat for salads during the week. My current favorite salad is spinach, hard boiled egg, fried chicken, and honey mustard dressing.

We've been buying 1 item cheese-LESS take-out

pizza because we can't replicate "their" ingredients, process or ease. BUT... we're making and adding our own toppings. Last try - EXCELLENT!!!! - was Jet's 1 topping marinated chicken pizza, no mozz, and we quickly sautéed mushrooms, onion, garlic, and green pepper and added a few fresh sliced cherry tomatoes, green olives and banana peppers for the top. Yum! Of course we then covered each piece with Jet's antipasto salad and a drizzle of their golden Italian. Still figuring the 2 piece towers are slightly over 30 grams of fat but still so very tasty for a cheat meal. Colleen
