Sally BR, I saw your blog today on the spiral cutter. Which one are you using?

I included a link to mine in the very end of the guest post...

... it is the Paderno indeed.

of all the ones I read about, and tried, it's my favorite

I see where you stated, "mine is this one" But it is not highlighted and not clickable

I hope you enjoyed this little tour of Pimp Your Veg with a Spiralizer. There are many types of spiral cutters in the market, mine is this one.

As you can see here, it is not highlighted. Hope it is not my computer doing something. Thanks Sally. Did you order it from Amazon?

Was ATK looking over our shoulder?

I have an email this morning from ATK, selling the Paderno Spirilizer!

I cannot edit her post, so I added to my own....

.... at the end of my blog post

I think when I sent her the text maybe the link got corrupted - I don't want to bother her, so for now it will stay in my own blog

thanks for letting me know

Thanks Sally. After reading the reviews, I ordered the original three blade model

I like that folks described it as a work horse, and that it did softer veggies like cucumbers better. I love it will make an accordion potato for me. Ordered the cookbook from the company, as well.
I rarely fall for gadgets so I am excited to learn to use this. One of the most fun ideas I have seen in the food world in a long time that actually makes sense to me.

I own the three blade and demoed the 4 blade at

Williams-Sonoma last holiday season.
I prefer the three blade; for the price and usefulness.
And , although it's a "Gadget" , it's a useful and fun one smileys/smile.gif

Sorry I was out for the day & didn't see your question until now. Hope code still works. I was able to get it yesterday.

The coupon expired at midnight last night (the 18th), but thank you, sjs

I turned a friend on to it and she used it (it gave her a $12 savings) to purchase the spiralizer for a gift.

Indeed! I've been wondering why I still subscribe to CI and tonight made some corn muffins with

cheddar cheese from CI that I decided were less than stellar. Couldn't taste the cheese and if I'm going to use all that cheese, I want to taste it. I'm pretty sure the basic recipe with no cheese would be delicious. I've pretty much lost interest in the magazine over the last few years and have thought it might be because I'm getting older and don't want all the extra steps they usually manage to add. It will be interesting to see if that changes. And if they will stop trying to charge so much for so little in regards to their on line content.

I have 2. The one that Traca posted and a Mueller one (linked). I Love these for yellow squash an

zucchini. I have tried carrot, but learned that it needs to be either nuked or boiled to soften it.

The veggie one that Traca mentioned is wonderful for small amounts. I found my wrist hurt if I used it for a large crowd, especially if used a few days in a row. (Maybe I am getting old!),

I like the Mueller, although it took some time to get used to using it. On my first attempt, I broke a plastic thingy, I called customer service to have them walk me through (Directions are bad). They sent me videos, spent time on the phone with me, and to my surprise, mailed me a replacement piece. (it was a small piece, and did not need to be replaced), then they followed up with a call to ensure I was happy and enjoying my new kitchen gadget. (They really have great customer service)
