not sure where we will lunch or dine this evening but I am coughing and have a tight chest what a way to end a great few weeks. I went to Wagamama's and they don't do the pud anymore...I was sad about that but had a wonderful curried kedgeree with egg instead.

Back to the heat tomorrow.

It is cold, isn't it? Finally!

Sorry you're not feeling well, and to have missed you!

What show did you go and see? Where did you eat?

Enjoy your heat when you get back, we might get over there this year, I will let you know...

Bon voyage!

I'll post foodie soon but in NY we went to two places....

Marseille and Ghenet. The former was a nice place for brunch but the bar did not open till we were almost done as we off to the matinee of the Lion King one drink was all we could have...sooooo not like every where I have been on this trip or how we live here.
You know there is a place for you if you come this way for a few nights if needed.
I am bad re the chest and cough - walking around Times Square was so not good for it.
Actually, it is not so hot here, quite strange but wonderful for me.

Erin and I were in Marseille last week!

Had a nice lunch, not boozy though, as I was headed to an appointment, so didn't even notice the bar situation...
Thanks for the offer, I will let you know for sure -
Glad you enjoyed your trip!

This is hysterical--Jakub and I were in Marseille for brunch on Sunday... Around 1:30. smileys/smile.gif

After Sandra and I went there, I was talking to a friend about it, and she suggested we try it for brunch. (Actually, lunch was much better--I've sort of given up on good brunch food. Mass quantities of food + hungry crowds = nothing spectacular. But I do recommend it for lunch!) smileys/smile.gif

Feel better, Joanie! Hope you had a good, if short, trip here!

p.s. Oh, and despite having a reservation, they seated us in the bar, which made me very peevish, since there were about 40 people standing, waiting there, for some reason.

You know, we must have been there at the same time....

there are two doors to enter...one on the corner and the other at the end of the bar. We were seated at the door next to the bar!!! The bar was hugely crowded. There were an awful lot of folk there.
Two ladies sat next to us...????...as there are only two tables in that little bit of alcove.
I would like to try lunch. Brunch was not as large and varied as I have had else where.

I went to the Doc on Monday....I am still BADLY coughing and have laryngitis.....though today is a bit of improvement..no cold, fever or aches and pains - just this darn cough, tight chest and voice....two weeks now is making me fed up.

Hmm! We were at the first table closest to the door near the bar and the bar!

We were a party of four at the table--our two very Czech-looking friends were sitting on the banquette side, and my husband and I were in chairs. smileys/smile.gif It was extremely crowded at first, and then thinned out about 10 to 2, or 2 pm-ish. Too funny! smileys/smile.gif)) I'm trying to remember--OH! There were two women drinking coffee at the table past ours, I think. And there was a young couple sitting next to each other at the table next to ours. We were right next to the waiters' station (the one across from the bar). I wonder if your table was on the other side of the waiters' station. smileys/smile.gif))

Get well soon! smileys/smile.gif
