The pull-apart looks great and the house smells AMAZING, better than Christmas. I used 2 t Vietnamese cinnamon and 1 t regular instead of the cocoa in the recipe at the link.

I'm going to wait to ice it as I'm going to rewarm in the morning, ice it and eat it then while watching football/drinking my tea. smileys/smile.gif

Oh my, you ladies that bake all this wonderful bread...I wish I had your desire to do that

but, I dislike working with flour (too messy) wish it was not this way. At least I can say I am a very good home cook, and that makes me happy too.smileys/wink.gif

Beautiful bread Maria, as always!

ah...is this the method where you stack layers vertically? I've seen it

in magazines, but typically get confused around Step #298.6A

Too many words...and not the right ones...

I adore Flo, but this I agree, is a bit confusing.

First, it should share instead cutting crosswise(?), cut the rectangle into long strips (my recipe was 4), but she makes a good point of adding the filling on each strip after it's stacked, because mine had you put the sugar on the rectangle before cutting - so it was messy when trying to lift a strip to stack and you had to respread the sugar.

Then after you've got all the long pieces stacked into one, now you cut that into 4 stacks: ___|___|___|___

And then it's easy to see how you stand them upright in the pan because they only fit one way (wide vs. tall).

Then you scoop all the sugar that spilled on the counter/cutting board and dump it over the top, then bake.

Oh I did use parchment, glad I did as it almost fell apart just lifting it out of the pan.
