I always stuff my turkey - last few years I've been smoking one (unstuffed) and do a smaller turkey in the oven so I can stuff it. Love the moistness of the stuffing. The leftover stuffing that I can't fit inside the turkey I put in a buttered casserole dish, add an extra cup of turkey or chicken stock and bake. Usually gets bypassed in lieu of the other because it's just not the same soft texture.
But, there's never enough of "the other."
This year I want to forgo the oven turkey - too many leftovers and waste. How can I keep the fam happy with the baked stuffing??? How wet should it be when baking???
Thanks!
