Since the 4th is this weekend, what is your favorite sauce for ribs?

I'm looking for a recipe that is not too spicy. I've got some huge pork loin ribs from Costco and a good spice rub for them.

I just need a sauce and normally I would use Stonewall Kitchen's Fig Vidalia Onion sauce but I left my bottle at the ex's house, and can't get more in time for Saturday. So, I have a jar of fig jam, and some vidalia's but need some guidance.....

Also on the menu:

* Mom's Memorial Day Baked Beans

* fruit pie from all the fruit in my freezer (I need the room)

* maybe corn? or grilled zucchini!

that sounds really good.

we usually use a tomato based sauce but whether I make it or buy it and doctor it if you add some hoisin, it is delicious and no one really can say what is in it but even my Dad who wouldn't eat hoisin said it was the best ribs he had ever eaten.
We don't use a rub but caramelize the sauce on the ribs.

Heather, make that corn salad I posted a while back. Easy & people love it! As for BBQ sauce,

I'm crazy about Dawn MO's Thai BBQ sauce. Every time I reach in my fridge and think, "What's this giant bottle of ketchup doing here????" I remember making Dawn's BBQ sauce and all is right with the world...smileys/smile.gif

One other note on that corn salad...I recently ran across a similiar recipe that included sliced radishes. Looked really nice. Consider also adding a little minced jalapeno.

Okay, now we are all going to a party in Marin, so I'm roasting the ribs tonight and

the beans, and making a combination of both sauces plus the fig and onion. In other words, a real dump job on the sauce but I bet it's delicious!

Happy 4th and thank you for the suggestions!
