RECIPE: Since we are all grilling a lot, here's a great appetizer from a local celeb: REC: Grilled Shrimp

David Gockley's Grilled Shrimp (he's the newest general director of the San Francisco Opera)

2 # large (jumbo) prawns - peeled and deveined

1 jar pickled jalapeno slices - drained

2 # good bacon - cut in half

1 bottle of your favorite barbeque sauce

Place a jalapeno slice on each shrimp and wrap in bacon, secure with a toothpick.

Grill over coals until shrimp are almost cooked through, brush with barbeque sauce, and grill until bacon is crispy and shrimp are cooked through.

Serve with silver coin margueritas.
