I apologize if some consider this SPAM and if so I'll be happy to delete. However, it seems some of us are interested in GMOs, food labeling, etc. This post is simply to inform folks who might not be aware that a vote is coming up on The Farm Bill aka US food policy so they can lend their voices if they so choose.

FYI, if you support being informed on GMOs, now is the time to contact your representatives The Farm Bill has already passed the House and is being debated in the Senate, looking to go to a vote after the weekend.

Some things on the table are Sen. Boxer's genetically engineered labeling amendment.

Senator Jeff Merkley's demand for a floor vote to repeal the Monsanto Protection Act (allowing Monsanto to keep selling genetically engineered seeds even if a federal court says they may pose a health risk. Monsanto additionally added an amendment into the Farm Bill that would block GMO labeling laws moving forward in states like Vermont and Connecticut.)
