for reasons outside my control, I was not able to pre-schedule this and will need to take the site offline tonight for an emergency server migration. The actual down time should not exceed 15-30 minutes but if you cannot access the site for any time in excess of that, contact me directly via email. hostmaster@xenocast.com

If you do email me I will most likely respond to you within minutes. If You have not received a response within a few minutes check your spam/junk folder.

glad to see you back on the site

for some there will be propagation issues. If anyone asks and is having trouble they can try flushing their dns cache and hard reloading/refreshing their browser.

browser / dns cache

DNS is basically how the Internet knows where to tell your browser where to go matching up domains and ip addresses.

Here are options:

browser cache for desktop / laptop
1) hold down shift key and keep down while you click the reload button on your browser. You may need to do it a couple of times.

dns cache instructions:
1) windows: https://zapy.com/2VIGIVC
2) mac: from your terminal run this: sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
3) iphone / ipad: https://zapy.com/2VISkYx

ummmm cofffeeee

you have no idea how important coffee is in my life! Thank you. Any recommendations for local coffee in the PHX metro?

and while I was at it...

I fixed the file/image upload issue that Marilyn experienced recently where it included the /1/ in the url. This should no longer happen. The encoding issue has also resurfaced and you'll notice some dingbats in place of apostrophes for example. I am aware of this and working on a fix.

This is probably the most interesting one. They sell coffee imported from their own plantation in..

...Brazil. The owner's family has their own plantation and they import the beans directly.

Peixoto Coffee Roasters
11 West Boston Street, #6, Chandler
Peixoto Coffee's service and product quality reflect an uncommon maturity. The shop primarily roasts and serves coffee from owner Julia Peixoto Peters’ family farm in Brazil, but it does make a few exceptions, featuring beans from other regions around the world. Where Peixoto has truly succeeded, in a way that arguably no other local shop has, is in educating consumers about how coffee makes its way from crop to cup. Photos around the shop feature coffee fruit ripening, being harvested, and being processed, and a simple painted map on one of the shop’s exposed brick walls puts things in a geographic perspective. Peixoto Coffee is working hard to introduce Brazilian culture, coffee, and cuisine to the East Valley by offering authentic pastries and bossa nova music nights. The shop also has stayed in touch with national specialty coffee trends, bringing fun items like nitro cold brew and iced cascara to the local scene.

ah, bless. I had to look up how to find the terminal on my Mac. Then it asked for my password. Then

I pasted in your code and it returned to the prompt almost immediately.

So I have NO BLOODY IDEA if I actually did anything, but at least I know where my terminal window is now.

I was breast-fed on a PC. Can you tell?

all it is doing is flushing the dns cache on your mac

so it should be very quick. It might ask you for your password first depending upon how your system is setup.
