SO (finally) decided to make me a honorable woman :-)

SO proposed to me during Easter. We're getting married in the beginning of September (haven't set the exact date yet). We are having just a small wedding, so we decided to have out wedding dinner at a restaurant that has a star in Guide Micheling.

For our honeymoon, we are going to Italy for two weeks. We'll rent a car and just drive around - from restaurant to restaurant - and eat good food. (That's our grand plan smileys/bigsmile.gif )

The funny thing is, my wedding dress is a linen dress I bought years ago - on sale! It's a great dress, but I have never had a chance to wear it until now. (It's white)

I got my wedding shoes and my purse for $100 - also on sale.

SO will use one of his suits (he's got a few to choose from).

So all in all, this is what my wedding looks like so far:

Clothes: $100

Food: $1000

*LOL*

((((EVA!)))) Congratulations...and good ratio, by the way.

Way back in 1981, I sketched out my wedding dress and my mom made it for me...material cost about $100. The food--on the other hand--for our small reception (75) cost $1700.

Whoopie!! and, so, this is an open invitation to your FK friends, right?? your food bill will

have to increase in that case!! seriously---best wishes for a long and happy life together. and your honeymoon sounds dreamy.

(((Eva))) the wedding plans are fantastic and it sounds like you will both enjoy them.

the honeymoon ain't too shabby either. I wish you both many years of joy and happiness together.

all the best to you both!

Congrats....and a few thoughts...

Make sure you wear a slip (linen is sometimes see through) and if you're looking for a place in Tuscany, my friend Pamela has a sweet spot. She's a cookbook writer and has a B&B in Tuscany with an olive grove on the property. (Link below)
