Wow, I have never seen prettier special event cakes than the ones he makes.

Not only are his cakes decorated beautifully, but I loved the ones where he also decorated the area

immediately surrounding the cake. Very eye-catching! Your friend definitely has loads of talent--and lots more patience than I possess.....ha! Thanks for sharing, Traca.

While I love those cascading rose cakes, I can't figure out how they cut...

the slices to serve.

I know some bakers do faux cakes for the display, and the slices are from

sheet cakes. Sometimes the only "real" part of the table display cake is the top portion that traditionally gets saved for the 1st wedding anniversary.
