So what's everyone making for Thanksgiving?

Cranberries and a pumpkin cake with caramel glaze.

I may do an appetizer of some sort, too.

My husband and my FIL always cook Thanksgiving dinner.

Years ago, I kept trying to introduce a new dish, but I was the only one who would eat it, so I gave up. smileys/smile.gif

I have the green vegetable assignment. I'll make peas with pancetta. I would love to make that

great Brussel Sprouts and cranberries and bacon recipe but they are not popular with some, I find, and I don't want to chance some doing without their green veggie.

Also taking Cranberry/Pineapple relish.

Can you share the recipe for Fried Pot Stickers on Cilantro Salad with Sesame Garlic Dressing?

No recipe...

I cheat and buy them pre-made at my local Chinese market. I fry to brown, then add a bit of water and cover them to steam . I make a platter of romaine, shredded red cabbage, carrots, and cilantro to arrange the cooked potstickers on. Sprinkle with a dressing I mix up of peanut oil, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, grated garlic, crushed ginger, chinese chili paste, and szechwan pepper (I never measure this, I just wing it). Dress the platter then sprinkle with chopped peanuts, cilantro and garnish with julienne cucumbers.

I serve this at nearly every dinner/party as an appetizer because it is so easy, so beautiful, gets a big "wow" factor from guests, and, it's so indescribably delicious, unexpected, and wonderful people just vacuum them up.

I am SO making this. Richard...

if, as you make it this year you can write down approximate measurements for the dressing I would greatly appreciate. Guesses work fine:)

Thank you!
