Since we were so successful finding the measuring cups annnd because we have some vintage/thrift store sleuths. Thought maybe I'd toss this out in case anyone runs across something.

This is how the day started:

Up early watering the lawn, as it's suppose to be real hot. Came in and thought I might try opening windows for a bit, pulled up the heavy wood blinds, they stuck, I pulled...and it ripped down from the wall -- all 12 feet of living room window wood plantation blinds is now laying in the middle of the floor, and it shattered a vintage candle cat luminary we've had in the family my whole life, it's part of an unmatched pair we always use at Halloween...can you get ceramic like this this repaired?

>>> So sleuths, if anyone sees one like it for sale can you let me know?

She's a vintage luminary. She's the *momma kitty*, so I don't want the baby to be an orphan!

Here is a picture of momma and baby kitty, I see baby got a few scrapes (and needs a bath), but didn't break. I laid a few broken sections together to get a better idea of what momma looks like for that shot.

There are people/places that specialize in restoration of ceramic pieces:

Try a search of "ceramic figurine restoration" and you should be able to find someone to restore it so that it looks "brand new".

Okay...after viewing over 1,000 "Siamese cat" objects on ebay, I'm beginning

to thing those little eyes are going to haunt my dreams.

(I deliberately narrowed the search in the hope that someone put a luminare out there but didn't call it that. Apparently, the first "view 200 objects per page" folks didn't.)

And does anyone know how to search the "70 King's Lane" website? A smaller version of the white cat showed up on there, but had "just been sold." All I could do was trawl through what they displayed. Very inefficient, but then again, maybe that's their method of madness.
