No....with a chef like that, he gets 3-star surgeons to reattach them.

I'll see if I can dig up the article. I think it happened when I lived up near Philly ~1995.

Here's an article about it....accident happened in Sept 2005.

What this article doesn't mention is that the kitchen had disengaged the safety feature on the processor which forces the machine to shut off when the lid is removed.

One of those..."no one to blame but himself" situations.

Thanks, Marilyn. Great story! I'm reassured to kwno this won't happen to us as long as

we don't disengage the safety feature. As it is, I've knicked my fingers just pulling the disks out of the drawer.

i don't think i've ever cut myself with a food processor blade...

the chain saw, however, is a different story.
