Someone please make my beloved Rhubarb Custard Cake and remind me of how wonderful it is.

I used peaches once. It's good. For me, it's just that rhubarb is in season now. Peaches

need to be as 'dry' as possible. The tartness of the rhubarb sets off beautifully against the sweet blandness of the custard.

Haven't made the brioche, BTW, I got sick instead. Trying again tomorrow.

 
Read that I can cheat with a rhubarb-like. Have strawberries

that I just picked up and will taste. Also can use frozen raspberries I can sprinkle with lemon juice and drop in batches, not stirring, along with the peaches. I'm really looking forward to cake! And I will make it again when I can get rhubarb. Colleen
