I wrote about my fun at the farmer's market on Saturday.

Please let me know what you think. I really really appreciate your honesty. Having never done this before I'm a tad apprehensive and so my debut has to be HERE at FK!

If any of you all know anything about blog design I would love your help, it doesn't quite look the way I'd like but you know, it will come along in time.

thanks for reading!

Awesome! Now take all that...and move it over to a WordPress account. As your blog grows,

you'll have much better changeability and tweaks available on WordPress. I'm trying to switch over to one now and blogger & wordpress are not compatable. I've been quoted over $1,000 to get my blog moved over....Ugh. I'm trying to teach myself instead.

Trust me. WordPress is the way to go.

Heather, puns will come back and haunt you!! "A lot of loafing around going on here... " LOL

Lovely! I'll read content text at lunch, but here's one comment for you:

In the top photo, the tagline A little cooking, creativity, cocktails and random errata.... is almost impossible to read. In fact, I couldn't tell what it fully said until I copied/pasted it here.

Consider changing it to a contrasting color (white?) or perhaps a bolder/bigger font?

Right; it looks like there's something weird with the header... Is that top photo your header?

It looks like it should be stretched horizontally a bit more...

I had a couple blogs on Blogger, and the one advantage there is that you can see more of your stats; WordPress (as far as I can tell) is a bit trickier that way. But WP does seem to have more flexibility with posting photos.

In any case, you should nab your blog's name, at least, on WP, so no one else can get it. smileys/wink.gif (crafty cackle)

I love your writing style Heather. The content is informative, easy to read, and spiked with your

own brand of humor. Good luck with it and have fun!

I agree with Marilyn and Erin abou the header.

Also, there's something about using all caps for
HEATHERINSF that makes it hard to read. WE know what it is because we see your swap name all the time. But someone who doesn't know might spend a lot of time trying to figure out where the word breaks are. Here are a couple of alternatives:

HeatherInSF
Heather In SF
Heather in SF

Just something to think about...it takes a bit to work all the kinks out. Look forward to reading more!

great job Heather. love your photo, it's as playfull as your writting. the porcini

intrigued me, so different from the ones I pick here. and they're out in the spring and not the fall?

wishing you lots of success!
