Sounds good: Chipotle Chilaquiles

You are welcome Mar, but I don't remember any recipe like this?

Tammy/Arcadia had one that I remember, maybe that is the one you are thinking of?

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 chopped onions
3 cloves garlic minced
28 ounce can tomatillos whole or crushed
16 ounce can green enchilada sauce

Fry onions and garlic in lard if you can stand it, oil if you can't-till soft then add
tomatillos (drain and blend them if whole)and all else-fry around till thick-ish and favorful, about 4-5 minutes- don't let it stick! Add cream and take off the heat Fry up a 12-24 tortillas (corn) which you have cut into wedges or strips- Not till crispy, stop before that point( alternately you can use packaged corn chips, but real are better!) Spoon some of the sauce on the bottom of your
casserole dish, cover with a layer of chips, more sauce, then chicken then cheese, sauce, chips, chicken, sauce cheese. always end up with sauce covered with cheese- If you have too much, make a second one! Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes till edges are nicely browned and its all bubbly- Gosh
this is good!

hmmm, didn't you discuss eating them at the SD farmer's market for breakfast?

Maybe I just assumed the recipe was from you because of that? I don't remember using the cream...just frying up tortilla pieces, adding chicken broth, cheese and egg?

This is gonna bug me now until I figure it out.

I think MasterCook did something when I imported it...

I think it should be 1-16 oz can of green enchilada sauce. And it was tamales or everything breadsticks dipped in tzaziki sauce or carne asada tacos or cream cheese scones or teriyaki chicken or lentil samosas (ahhh, a stroll down foodie memory lane, sigh), I would eat for breakfast sometimes at the FM. I don't remember anyone making anything like that there, but people would have liked it. I will try and wade through the swamp and see if I can find Tammy's recipe to verify the 16 oz mystery ingredient.

I edited the recipe in the above link...I cannot find Tammy's original

posting of this recipe over at the swamp. Can anyone else? When I put Tammy's name in the user box, it says "failed to find specified user". What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

It's not just you, I can't find it either. I did find a post by Tammy/Arcadia CA, but when I enter

it in as user name, it won't accept it. I can't find the recipe using the search terms chilaquiles and tomatillos, either. Her name doesn't come up.

the names are now part of the subject line when searching, so put "tammy"

in as part of the subject and see what happens.
