Sous vide cooker for $60

Do you have one Charley? I am so on the fence on this. I haven't embraced cooking in plastic; but

I love the concept (i.e. the water cooking and results). I do not consider myself a granola crunchy person.... Just trying to figure it out

You also need a good vacuum sealer. I'm figuring total will cost ~$200?

I want this...just can't justify it yet.

ChefSteps converted ALL of their recipes to sous vide. They use zip lock bags for some, keeping

the lip over the edge of the pop and keeping it there with a binder clip.

I'm kindof bummed. I used to love watching their videos. First they bumped up to molecular gastronomy and THAT changed a lot of their simple recipes to Amazon quests. Now they seem be a one-stop video shop for Joule because that's all they're using.
