Southern folk: Publix has their butter on sale this week for $2 / pound

That is a great price. I found it for $2.29 last month and bought 25 lbs.

for my holiday baking. I sealed it in ziplock bags and put it in the freezer knowing that I should have bought more as I have already used 5 lbs. of it.

I always keep 12 lbs. in my freezer

I mainly get them at Costco unless a local store is having a major sale

They have salted and unsalted at my Costco. I usually buy my butter there too. I recently found...

...a deal at my local Kroger affiliate for Challenge unsalted butter for $1.99 / lb.

I bought 5 pounds.

Both. This is for the Kirkland brand which I have no problem with.

It comes packaged in 4 packs (4 lbs) but I have no problem with that as I store it in the freezer.

(Now if it would just come in the long sticks to fit my butter dish I'd be in heaven. LoLakes was the last I could get shaped like that, but no more.)
