Spinning pans on smooth cooktop...a 7 qt Le Creuset dutch oven was turning when stirring. Could it

be the cleaning cream? Instructions say to clean every day, is that too much? I don't mind that it's electric, but the spinning bothers me. Does everyone have the problem or is there a way to solve it?

I have the same problem. Doesn't matter which pot. Did it before I started using cream cleaner.

And still continues. I am VERY careful with pasta pots of water.

I'm also getting black spots now and can't get rid of them.

I have heard it said that the Le Creuset can cause the glass top to crack

Not a bad idea if you hate it (as msny do) but if you love it, I'd be very careful. Hated my glass cook top, could not wait to get rid of it.

I had no problem with my cooktop and wish I still had it. Is the D oven very flat on the bottom?

In fact, when I sold the house, I excluded it from the sale as that model was not available again, then.

Yes, pan seems to be flat. I don't hate it, but would much rather have gas, but the kitchen isn't

plumbed for propane and not on an outside wall. I'm reluctant to run a line through attic, etc, for safety reasons.

It's so annoying to lift the lid with one hand, be stirring with the other and have the pot go scooting or circling.

I was hoping it might have to do with the cleaning cream, but given Marilyn's experience, I guess not.
