Stove cleaning tip: I have a Dacor, 6 burner cooktop with closed burners and black

porcelain surface surrounding the burners. I love it for clean-up ease but have noticed the last few times I cleaned it, gray markings started showing up that I could not seem to remove. This morning as I was cleaning away, I recalled speaking to our appliance guy about it and he told me they used Pledge furniture polish on their demo stoves with that surface. After cleaning the surface up, they finished it off with Pledge. I tried it this morning and it worked like a charm. I have a shiny, black. and beautiful cooktop until I make my next mess. Now I need to figure out how to get those gray markings off my three heavy grates which sit above burners.

THanks for the tip. I also have a dacor, mine, unfortunately is electric. Always looking for a

different way to bring back the shiny black look.
