Stringtown Grocery, Kalona Iowa -What is Angel Cream

My neighbor moved and gave me some interesting spices from Stringtown Grocery, in Kalona, Iowa. I looked it up on the net, and it's an Amish business, so of course no phone. The cumin, garlic flakes, and angel cream seem unaffected by the amount of time they were lost in her spice cabinet.

I have no idea what angel cream is.

The granulated garlic, and the onion flakes have hardened. She never used them. I am thinking that they are still good, and I can break them up into powder in the food processor.

What do you think?

I'll bet Angel Cream is cream of tartar or baking powder

As far as breaking up the garlic powder and onions....I think there is nothing much worse than stale tasting old garlic powder and I'll bet onion is the same way. A tiny amount can ruin a whole dish. I'm afraid I'd ditch them. I keep garlic powder (for the few things I use it for) in the freezer.
