A angak Well-known member Oct 14, 2008 #3 just stir in a slurry of corn starch and water at the end and heat to thicken. about 2 T of cornstarch and 1/4 c water should do it. I don't use tapioca either.

A angak Well-known member Oct 14, 2008 #5 yes, crank up the heat to high for the last hour then, or add some flour at the beginning dust the beef with the flour before putting in the crockpot---should be sufficient to thicken this. I love this dish.
