I am making a Mexican bean dish from ATK called Mexican Mole and Drunken Beans, and would like to know what I can I use for these two items: Mexican Lager and Tequila.
Use a regular lager, like Bud or Miller, and for tequila, well, you could probably . . .
leave the tequila out if it is just an ounce or two. Or for the tequila, you could try and find one of those mini-bottles that just give you an ounce or so.
But, from what I read here: https://www.americastestkitchen.com/taste_tests/1570-mexican-lagers about tasting and comparing Mexican Lagers and American style lagers, it might be worth your while to search out a decent Mexican lager to get the full taste experience from the ATK recipe.
