Drink Up: Coke and Jack Slushies

Sweet, sour and inimitable -- Coke beckons creative cooks as a secret ingredient.

COKE AND JACK SLUSHIES

Serves: 4

2 (12-ounce) cans cold Coca-Cola

6 ounces limeade concentrate

6 ounces bourbon, chilled

Combine the cola and limeade with a whisk, then freeze in an ice cream machine according to manufacturer's directions.

Divide frozen mixture into four chilled glasses. Chase away the kids. Drizzle each serving with 1 shot of bourbon. Serve with a spoon or a straw.

I'm working on one with TJs Just Cherry juice, french lemonade, and something

alky - we've tried citus rum + cointreau, not quite what I'm looking for. Next is vodka, maybe a squeeze of lime.

If I perfect it, I'll post. smileys/smile.gif

Pim's # 1........

Lemonade or Sprite
Pim's
Large jug
Sliced strawberries
Sliced cucumber (I just use the skins in long strips)
Mint leaves
Ice

Depending on how strong you like it or how large the jug....
Add the Pim's and lemonade to the jug and then all the fruit.
Let it sit for awhile.
Add ice just before serving in a tall glass.
Perfect for a hot summer's day picnic, afternoon tea by the pool or..... just perfect anytime!

The pineapple/vanilla tequilla totally ROCKS! Never made it into a margarita over here. smileys/smile.gif

question for Richard: do you add fresh pinapple chunks when blending, or use the drunken ones?
