so cold here we've been staying in and spending a small fortune in books. I now have 8 new books on my kindle fire and only spent a few dollars. Thanks, again!

Cyn, did you know you can download books from your library? Some are forever...most

will need to be renewed after 2 weeks...just like a normal book. It sources from your library to Amazon, then down to your Kindle.

NFRC The largest publishers often deal directly with the library systems.

Amazon typically insists on setting the price for e-books, and the Big Six publishing houses keep trying to resist this--hence them dealing directly with systems like the NYPL.

I have been using the library system since I bought my kindle fire. Unfortunately, we

are probably the only municipality that now offers no funding for the library. Consequently there have been huge budget cuts and very few new books. Very sad. It's a wonderful library and beautiful art gallery.
