Talking of Twitter - Cookie exchange

The other discussion about Twitter prompts me to tell "all y'all" about a bit of a fun project I set up through Twitter.

Someone I know IRL was telling me about this cookie recipe they needed to send me. On a whim, I sent him a couple dozen cookies (oatmeal & chocolate chips, and snickerdoodles). He said he'd send me some back in my container.

Got me to thinking about organising a "Twitter cookie swap". And so I did.

There's about 17 people participating right now, which is kind of cool. I made two lists, and I sent a batch of cookies to the first person on each list. They received the cookies today.

Now these person will each send cookies to the person above them and the person below them on their list. This means everyone gets two batches of cookies from different people smileys/smile.gif

We'll also be documenting the cookie making and exchanges through a blog on Blogger.

It's looking like it's working out and a lot of fun smileys/smile.gif

Unfortunately, the swap is limited to people in New Zealand (can't really send cookies across borders smileys/frown.gif ).

Anyway, thought I'd share a fun use of twitter smileys/smile.gif
