THANK YOU for suggestions re: *Mom, steak and her few teeth* situation. I sauteed the steak

and then sliced it super thin on the bias. Reduced heavy cream, added dijon and sliced steak pieces. Served it to mom with sauteed green beans & mushrooms and haluski, an ethnic dish using cabbage (I used the leftovers from the Milk Street roasted cabbage recipe), butter, noodles, butter, caramelized onions, butter, cottage cheese, butter and lots of black pepper. Sounds a bit horrid but it's comfort in carb form. With a side of butter guilt.

Pardon me while I go out now and plow the potato fields.

So glad to hear you two are doing well! I bet your mom was in pig heaven smileys/wink.gif

Like the idea of dijon cream sauce - I have 2 tiny steaks from frozen Outback leftovers that I plan to make with your method. Thank you! Colleen

- admitting to not offering any suggestions to Marilyn

I couldn't come up with anything as good as the others already offered. Colleen
