It turned out quite delicious and--bonus--I got to use up the two remaining steaks. They broke down into delicious shredded meat, along with the beef rib meat. I was going to keep it separate, but it was so good with the dense broth that I just added all the shredded meat back into the onions and broth--and then sauteed a bunch of mushrooms to add to that.
We've had 2 meals already (with toasted 3-cheese bread croutons and grated gruyere cheese) and I sent 2 batches over to the neighbors and there were still 4 servings in the freezer for later.
I've been unable to take a good photo. The first one turned out all blurry and this one is too zoomed in. Oh well, it was still good.
