Thanks for the Noche Bueno dinner suggestions. It went so well!

We had tons of tamales from my SIL, plus:

Mango-Jicama salad from Steve 2

Michael's easy and delicious Mexican Arroz, used Hatch chilies this year - This is my go-to recipe (extra goes happily into my freezer for future quick dinners)

Chezz's Mexican-style Charcoal-Grilled Corn, adpapted to kernels roasted in the oven, then combined with the great flavors. This was new to me, I loved it, and best of all, the Mexican guests went back for more!

Cha-cha beans - good, a touch spicy, but next time I will cut back on the tomatoes a bit.

Other suggestions were located on 19501. And we had lots of cookies of all kinds. Yum!

my my my... what a lovely menu! I think I'll do this next year - or maybe for a New Year party.

Very nice! We had two big batches of Mexican Rice with our mexican food on Christmas Eve.

We love it too!

So glad it went well. Good food (and it sounds like you hit it outta the park!) always gets the celebration off on the right foot.

Nice job!

Michael

This post made me go out and buy green enchilada sauce and the rest of

the ingredients to buy Dawn_MO's creamy chicken enchiladas (although they will be pork). I do love tamales too, but never tried making them.

Anna! To add this menu to T&T, just copy the menu you posted, or the link then go

to the top of this page where you see:

* The Recipe Swap
* Kitchen Tips
* Menus
* Tried & True Recipes
* Diet WOEs
* The Larder Barter

across the top in the "Eat.at" header.
Click on 'Menus', then make a new post there with the menu or the link to the menu.

Sorry - that sounds much hard than it is...

Hmmm, that's interesting cheezz. You say " go to the top of THIS page"

and you will see those categories. Before Mimi revamped the site it used to show like that. Now, for me, it just has "All Forums". When I click on that it shows all those categories. Not the same for you?

HA! I'm glad I'm not the only one who goes around in a fog smileys/smile.gif Small font, white letters...
