How do you roll them without the jam squishing out the sides?

They ALWAYS show rolling the dough into a circle, spreading the jam, slicing it like pizza and then rolling it. Their finished products are prefect...no jam on the edges.

MINE, on the other hand, are oozing jam out the edges.
Do they Photoshop the mess away?
