I made the Strawberry Cream Cake (posted in T&T) for a friend's birthday party this weekend, and it was a huge hit. I even bought a glass cake stand to display the cake in. ($10 from Target, and it even turns into a punch bowl!) One of the guests was asking the hostess where she bought the cake. smileys/smile.gif It's such a great cake, especially since strawberries are in season now. I had a little trouble with cutting the cake layers evenly, so it didn't look as pretty as I would have like, but it was delicious!
I also made brownies for the party. So after all that baking, I wanted to make something easy for dinner. I tried out the Crispy Roasted Broccoli recipe and it was great! I used some Hawiian sea salt to sprinkle on top before roasting. It tasted great for being super easy, i think it's even faster than the popcorn cauliflower, so when I'm lazy i'll be making the broccoli a lot more often!
