Thanks to my IT security team and our hostmaster, I'm "kind of" back at the forum.

Our eat.at hostmaster kindly provided me with another address that didn't use the .php ending, which LM blocks for security reasons.

I can finally see ya'll again!!

Sadly, I can't open any of the attached links that map back to this site, since they default to the standard blocked eat.at address.

But hey, I'm counting small blessings here. I'm in...hopefully I can submit this post as I'm typing this from work. Most of the LM test team is in England demo'ing our application to the UK MOD while the rest of us are back here working OT to meet another delivery deadline.

I miss this guys and all the good food chat.

The only thing I've baked in months was Lidia's limoncello tiramisu for one of our military support guys and a tank cake. Taff's getting married soon, so I wrote "Congratulations" in Welsh on top of the cake. Luckily, he's the only one who can read Welsh, because if I goofed and added a few extra "L's" and "F's", I might have spelled out a swear word.

Marilyn, Welcome back....you have been so missed. Really have missed your input.

Welcome back.....

It is very frustrating to have net problems like you did.

I am battling very slow and iffy connections, most times this site freezes before I can load the entire page.

Oh, well - good you found a way to be here!

Great to "see" you again, Marilyn. No one turns a phrase or entertains the masses...

...with tales of kitchen adventures so transparently as you. You are very special, and we all miss you.

Michael

Welcome back, and PLEASE type out the spelling in Welsh, so I know what swear word

you almost piped. It will drive me crazy.

We missed you! The nice thing about good friends is that you can pick up right where you left off after an absence.

...well, alrighty then...

Here's what I wanted to write, but couldn't fit on a 9" diameter cake topped with lemon curd:

Dymuniadau da, Dymuniadau gorau, Pob dymuniad da, which is "Best wishes"

Then, since he's Welsh and always complaining about the British, I considered:
Twll dîn pob Sais! which is "Down with the English!" (or literally, ‘an ar$ehole every Englishman’)

I ended up with the less-politically charged:
Llongyfarchiadau, which is simply "Congratulations"
