I just received my copy and yowza. When I'm looking for ideas for a party, I can't imagine how I lived without this book! All my other appetizer books seem singularly focused- either individual items, dips, etc. This one has a good cross-over.

Here are the chapters:

Nuts & Olives

Basic Sauces

Dips

Spreads

Pates & Terrines

Canapes & Toasts

Croquettes & Fritters

Skewared Foods

Cheese Balls, Fish Balls, and Meatballs

Marinated & Pickled Foods

Stuffed Vegetables, Fish, Meats, Breads & Fruits

Short Pastry, Cream Cheese Pastry, Yogurt Pastry, and Sour Cream Pastry

Pate & Chou

Pate Feuilletee, Strudel & Phyllo

Yeast Doughs

Crackers, Salt Pastries, Cheese Pastries, and Sponge Rolls

Asian Hors d'Oeuvre

With the holidays on the horizon, I can't wait to play with this book....Just wondering if anyone else has, and if they can recommend particular recipes that are worth starting from.

On your recommendation, I bought it used on Amazon, and I have only had a moment

to look at it, but it looks great. I love how it is organized. I ended up only spending $8.99 for it including shipping, and it is in perfect condition. Love the Amazon used books. Thanks Traca!

Cool! I love Amazon used books too...I'd love to hear what recipes you try...And I'm with you...

the way it's organized is great. I can see myself grabbing this book whenever I'm stumped what recipe to bring to a party. I'm excited to try the crackers and some of those rilletes.
