"The First Tomato"

Heaven, pure bliss...a memory and taste to savour.

I planted my 17 plants in early May...praying for no more frosts. That didn't happen but still they persisted. And grew. And now we have already harvested the first. I am on cloud now and hope to be that way for the next two months

It is Michigan. I planted them way early!

Deb, I am right there with you. I just harvested my first tomato this morning

and cannot wait for dinner tonight. And it happens to be my very favorite, a yellow Jubilee.
With the heat we are having now, they should start ripening very quickly. Yay!!!

Okay, I am jealous and my mouth is watering!. I am going to stop by the

farmers market on the way home tonight and pray for some good tomatoes. Hopefully the cheese man and the bread man will both be there too and I will be set for dinner--along with some basil from my herb garden......

We've been eating ours now for a couple of weeks. Got a basket full. Yum! Gotta love So. Cal.
